Hey all! The first show went great. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't have any idea of turnout or anything. God made such an amazing night. Our friend, Ryan Rowles from FBC West LA, brought his jazz quartet to open the show. I know! Jazz! What a blessing. These guys were awesome. It was their first official gig - Interchange is their name and they will be dong a few more shows on the tour.
Just added Community Baptist Church in Waterford today. Pastor David Cooke - you remember him, he was the first to get his church involved. David signed up for July 4th and just before he left for his own missions trip, he put e in touch with about a dozen other churches. Pastor Bob Cherry has been working on getting this done for about two months and this morning wwe made it official.
Oh yes, God is teaching me patience and perseverence. This whole project is so unknown and now it is already in motion. Tonight a provate event at La Costa and tomorrow, Community Covenant Church in Santa Barbara.
Blessings - Jerry

Back on Track
I want to thank everyone for praying and supporting this thing. I know God is going to do what He will do. It's exciting to know that what He has in store for these shows is something amazing. Added another show today. It's official Ryan Rowles worked for about a month to get this approved and it finally came through. FBC West LA will be hosting Monday July 20. There is also a great jazz quartet on the bill that night. God is awesome!

Wroing Way...for now!
The past few days have been tough. Three shows have canceled, so we are back to 16. But isn't 16 a great number? Yes it is! I know all three of the pastors at those churches wanted desperately to participate but scheduling just did not work itself out. We'll get them next year! Still not too late to tell your church partners about this great opportunity to raise money for some awesome missions projects. Be blessed.

Number 18
What a great number. Today Community Covenant Church in Santa Barbara added the first day in July. Wow! I never thought this would get actually get moving. Thus far, we need only 13 more shows to get to the 31. God knows what is best and I will continue to do my part. Pastor Bob Cherry called today and he may be in for a show and that would get us 1 shy of cracking into the 20's! Thanks to Pastor Dennis Wadley as well as Denise Bogard for putting this together at CCC! Tell your friends and pray my friends.

A Go Getter
I blindly emailed a pastor at The Rock Church in San Diego as I did with most of you who have signed on to the tour. The pastor passed my info along to an aspiring comedian who attends their church. Brandon Young told me he wanted to help. He had an idea to start a comedy ministry. He wants to take a troupe to hospitals, rehab centers, retirement communities and present the gospel with the use of humor. In order for him to help me he had to apply and get approved as an official ministry at The Rock. He got approved! Today he put a date for the tour on the calender. July 13! Pray that his comedy ministry takes off with the arms of Jesus and will be able to minister to those in need in San Diego.
